SecretropinRx (SRx)

Secretropin® is a 100% natural growth hormone Secretagogue. That is, a compound that increases the natural production of another product. Secretropin was initially developed and tested in 2001 but, did not get into the general medical population until October 2006. This delay was due to the need to have clinical testing on the product. After 5 years, we knew that SRx worked on over 90% of the patients to raise the level ofIGF-l/IGFBP- 3, the two important markers of Growth Hormone product by 50-300%.

Then we started testing how different dosages and timing of taking SRx affected the response. What we found was that we could get a better rise in the production of OH-agents by only using 3-5 sprays at bedtime and dropped the initial morning dosages. So, the question became how best to meter your response to SecretropinRx.

Instructions to Patients and Physicians

(A). Initially, you will need to have a hormone panel that includes both IGF-1 and IGFBP-3. Start on 3 sprays of SRx at bedtime for 4-6 weeks and then have a repeat of IGF-1 and IGFBP-3. If the level goes up go to (B), if the level goes down go to (C).

(B). Your level went up: You can either stay on the 3 sprays a night or go up to 4 sprays a night for 4-6 weeks and then have a repeat ofIGF-1 and IGFBP-3. If the level goes up go to (B), if the level goes down go to (C).

(c). Your level went down: The drop in the GH markers indicates that you have elevated your GH level above the amount that your body will This is caused by the production of Somatostatin (the hormone responsible for keeping your GH levels lower). Sometimes adding 2-5 grams of L-Arginine at night can decrease this from happening and improve upon your GH production. Otherwise, lower the number of sprays by one. Repeat the blood work in 4-6 weeks. If the level goes up go to (B), if the level goes down go to (C).

The Threshold Theory of Growth Hormone {and all hormones).

 Each ofus is unique in how we manufacture and respond to the different levels of hormones that we produce. If we produce a hormone below the ideal level (threshold) our body will increase the production until we come up to the ideal level or threshold but, not above it. If we manufacture a specific hormone above the ideal level and thereby exceed the threshold, our body will shut off the production of the hormone until it drops below the ideal (threshold) level. When this happens, your blood test results will look as if SRx dropped your hormone level. It did not and this is a sign that you really just need less of SRx. In fact, we have a physician patient on SRx who only uses one spray at night to DOUBLE his initial IGF-1 and IGFBP-3 levels.
