It has been said, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!” There is no question in my mind that this is definitely true. I would even go one step further to tell you that prevention should start when we are children so that as we grow into adulthood, our risk of illness can decrease steadily instead of increase steadily. For many people you know, this is already too late. These are the friends and acquaintances who already have medical problems including heart disease some of whom may have already prematurely died. For most of the rest of us, if they are not already experiencing heart problems, it is not at all too late. For those who do not think prevention, they should start now, today.
